Colchagua Wineries

Las Niñas Winery

Founded in 1996 by three French families drawn to the untouched beauty of this remote corner of Colchagua, the winery’s name Las Niñas (the girls) pays tribute to the daughters of the original founders, symbolizing both heritage and a fresh, feminine energy.

Las Niñas was purchased by a new family, also French, in 2021. In addition to keeping the winery’s name, they also decided to maintain the concept of women’s work which makes up 70% of the company, including the winemaker and the vineyard manager.

The winery is located on a sprawling 55 hectares surrounded by native forests and rolling hills. From this privileged setting, Las Niñas crafts expressive wines using organically farmed grapes, with a focus on Carmenere, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot.. Their organic certification since 2017 underscores a deep respect for the environment, and each vintage is a reflection of careful stewardship and a hands-on, artisanal approach.

Las Niñas expanded their portfolio in Valparaiso having purchased another 55 hectares in Leyda, where they produce Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir.

Some of their new lines include..

ELLA RESERVA (single-varietal wines, unoaked, very fruity and fresh)
Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Rosé

TERROIR GRAN RESERVA (single-varietal wines aged for 12 months in first-use French oak barrels) Chardonnay (Leyda) and Cabernet Sauvignon (Apalta)

TRADITIONAL METHOD SPARKLING WINE (takes 12 months for the bubbles to form naturally) Chardonnay and Pinot Noir
